Set in 2007, in the neighborhood of Clancy Way, the story explores the rivalry between the Downbeats and the Clique, two teenage street gangs of different family backgrounds. Both gangs vie for dominance of the neighborhood, and the police try to keep order. Joshua Dun, a former Downbeat and older brother of the gang's leader, Jordan Dun, falls in love with Tyler Joseph, the brother of Zack Joseph, the leader of the Clique. Torchbearer's perspective -- I am Torchbearer. I am a Bandito. I am from Dema, a circular cement city in the lower portion of an otherwise wild and green continent, Trench. Every single one of us were citizens of Dema once. But we escaped, most of us narrowly avoiding Nico and his ever watchful Bishops. They govern the city with a seizing power and his hijacked religion, one feeding the other. It keeps their citizens in a cycle. In shackles. We see that now from the outside looking in. But as Banditos, we are banished-forced to stay out. Which we do. Well, most of the time.

Clancy's perspective -- I am Clancy. I am a citizen of Dema, a circular cement city in the lower portion of an otherwise wild and green continent, Trench. We aren't allowed to go out there. Most haven't seen it. And I haven't either. Yet.

It started with static. A broken speaker. A distorted signal. Voices that shouldn't exist. When Amara hears the interference, she thinks it's just old equipment failing-until the voices start answering questions. They know songs that haven't been written yet. Memories that haven't happened. A future that shouldn't be reachable. On the other side of the signal... Tyler and Josh are hearing themselves fifteen years in the future. But the more the bridge opens, the more the universe begins to fight back. Because time doesn't like being watched. And Amara might be the only reason the connection exists at all.

I am a citizen of Dema. I am an escapee. I have failed time and time again. I have never seen the world outside this city, but one day I hope to. One day I will. My friend Clancy is like me. He is a citizen of Dema. He is an escapee. He is an exception. He has seen the world outside these imposing walls. He tells me about these people he's seen. He hasn't been able to speak with them yet, but he gets closer with each escape. I'm going to ask him to take me the next time he goes. I want to see these people for myself. I want to know if we can survive outside of Dema. Because I want to live.

This book is pure fluff and yearning. This is my first story ever. Idk if anyone will even read it but I have high high hopes that this story is pretty damn good if I do say so myself. I used tyler and josh in the story for reference to what the characters look like. There will be sensitive topics so read at your own risk.

Tyler Joseph x Female OC ~ Avery Holloway was a performer in more ways than one.
