Life for Diana Smith was good. She didn't have a care in the world until the war started. Now she has to make sure she and her family are safe from the ongoing war against Japan. Her little sister Violet is also her best friend. But when Violet gets kidnapped, her life turns upside down. Will she find her sister? She thinks she may have a lead on who might have taken her. If only her mom would just tend to those violets in the front yard garden bed.

A11 has "volunteered" to become a science guinea pig. Day after day she is given random tests then thrown back in her cage. Will she be able to escape or will her side affects take over?

Candie Hawkeye never really seemed to fit in. It's not that she was 'not like other girls', she loved shopping as much as anyone else, but the real her was shrouded from everyone, a fake exterior to shelter her real persona, and, for once, she wants someone to see the real guitarist Candie really is.
