A girl, Yn, is in a maze full of girls, when suddenly a boy comes up, Aris. They have a few ups and downs but they make great friends. Aris tries to help them get out of the maze, ending up a strange place with other teens, including a brithish blonde boy. Or in this case what could have happened? So, instead of Thomas coming up its Newt. The morning of the Box's annual monthly delivery of a boy. And a gardener, with ginger curls and emerald eyes, is set the task of showing the Greenie around. In time the Greenie becomes a Runner. But both the Gardener and the Greenie face dark thoughts.
