A world of shadows and silence. Gloomy colors of tan, black, grey, and ghostly white paint the streets and dark alleyways. This is the afterlife, where a lost soul is sent to reflect until summoned to be reborn or completely obliterated. Just like this place, the creatures are gloomy. People aren't people. They are black shadow ghosts. They float aimlessly throughout the dark streets, their white orbs for eyes carrying a certain lost sadness as they do so. People would argue that everyone here deserves to be here, and that's it's only right that THIS is their afterlife. Well, here's the thing... I was never MEANT to be here... In my past life, a witch cursed me. She stole my afterlife so that I may be cursed to go here to face an emptiness she has felt... As a lost soul, will I be able to remember my name and find my voice again? Will I be able to be reborn and live out my destiny in my next life without interference? I can only try to break through the darkness that is this world... A world where Every Soul Whispers

Retail is hell. Literally. Lex Monroe has survived construction sites, back-breaking labor, and raising two kids on her own-but nothing prepared her for the soul-sucking nightmare of working the graveyard shift at Hell-Mart. She's overworked, underpaid, and one corporate spreadsheet away from snapping. After years of holding the store together, Lex finally gets the promotion she deserves... but only after the current manager, Todd, dies in a hilariously freak accident involving a loading dock, a cursed garden gnome, and a tantrum. Now Lex is the new boss of the damned-and things are getting weird. Fluorescent lights flicker with ancient evil. The intercom whispers in Latin. Aisle 17 seems to breathe when no one's looking. And her 17-year-old daughter Tess? She just started seeing ghosts-including Todd, who's just as annoying dead as he was alive. Turns out, Hell-Mart isn't just built on ancient burial grounds-it might be the gateway to something much, much worse. Between haunted breakrooms, cursed merchandise, and an undead support group that won't shut up, Lex and Tess are in for the shift of a lifetime. Clock in, gear up, and whatever you do... don't go near the clearance section.
