It's odd. When you experience something terrible, usually it's all you can think about, right? Its constantly on your mind and you can remember every single detail vividly? That's what would make sense at least. But for him, when something terrible happens... he forgets. His mind creates an error, it doesnt process the event, it doesnt store the data.
