This Kataang Christmas Story was inspired by "The Mistletoe" by PottyosPanna on Reddit and Instagram! Check out her fantastic Kataang Artwork! Sorry for not posting this on Christmas Eve. I was not feeling well to write the story. Summary: What happens when Katara and Aang kiss under the mistletoe?

"You like to play dirty? huh?" I was made to fight in this war as the last water bender of the Southern Water Tribe. I was supposed to play him but he played me. I'm not done with him just yet. He gonna pay for what he did. My big brother, my twin sister Riha and I were taught that the water tribes were the greatest nation. 100 years ago the sister tribe joined us into winning this war. I fight for my mother. I need to avenge her death. I fight in her name. Fire Nation killed her. They used her as bait for my dad. I'm recognized at Kya not Katara.Only my tribe and the sister tribe know me as Katara. I am a different person to the world. My brother and I were sent out to catch the Avatar. My twin sister Riha was always loved by my father. Sokka and I were always a disappointment to my father. Riha's not a master water bender or blood bender like me but she was always better at combative fighting and swords. Riha was a Non-bender who was always spoiled in our dads approval and love. Something Sokka and I wish to get one day. We were both set out on a mission. This was our second chance and last chance to capture Avatar Aang. We will get the Avatar and win this war. He's not gonna play me again. I'm not gonna catch feelings.

This takes place two years after the hundred year war Aang and Katara are dating but start fall in love with other people but then fall back in love . I don't own these characters or the show Avatar the last Airbender. The only characters I own are the ones Aang and Katara fall in love with. Also there are certain things you won't understand if you haven't read the books

Aang tells Katara that separation is an illusion and how the four nations are really one and the same. But what will happen during the Battle of Yu Dao when Katara tells Aang they'll have to be apart and can't be together if the nations have to be separate?
