During the attack , Katara is cut with a sword by one of the soldiers and falls of a ledge that leads to the vast ocean below and her doom. After the fight they search for her but find nothing so they leave the village with heavy hearts thinking that she is forever gone. Six months later, they return to the same village where they had lost Katara.They are welcomed by a nice middle aged woman and she introduces them to her only daughter who goes by the name Manuura. And it appears that Aang and Zuko have fallen in love with her as well.
