Watching them as they plead for their souls, I watch as that is ripped from their very eyes. Yet, I feel no guilt. I am emotionless, that's what everyone thinks. My face is always neutral, no sign of life within me. That was how I was for 300 years. Until I was taken from them and put into a 'better' environment, I was used. But in a good way, my life slowly turned around for the good. The first thing that I utter after 300 years is, "Only in the darkest skies, you can see the brightest stars.." BOOK TWO OF THE GOLDENROD SERIES --------------- Dahlia is now an Avenger and working at Stark Towers as an engineer. She's finally found a place where she belongs and feels comfortable. Spending time with Tony, Steve, Natasha and Maria Hill have been wonderful over the last 8 months. But now she has to get down and dirty and really fight as an Avenger when the team raids their final Hydra base, in Sokovia. While there they recover Loki's sceptre and meet two powered enemies, just like Dahlia. However, with the sceptre in Stark's possession you never know what might happen next and what does proves to Dahlia just how much the world needs superheroes.
