Drug addiction runs in Zak's family and his cousin a former addict can testify to that but when Zak needs back surgery which will require very strong pain killer. Zak tells his mother that he wants his cousin the former addict to take care of him and his pain management will she prove to her aunt that she isn't the drug addict she was before
