While all of Heaven debates whether she can be trusted, Glidred looks at the painting and feels something no one else does: beauty. 'The painting needs life, it needs us.' - Glidred.

Abaddon was kicked out of her pack and abandoned by her parents at the age of 13 when she first shifted for caring the mark of the same angel she shares the name of, the angel of destruction . Since then she has been wondering, living life not believing there is a reason for it. She then meets a human, Katherine, who makes her rethink herself little by little. But will Azrael, carrying the mark of the angel of death, let her choose for herself? Or is Abaddon destined to follow Azrael for the rest of her life?

Rose is a young girl working in a haunted hotel because she has to pay off her sick mother's crippling debt, the hotel is owned by Catherine who got the hotel from her now dead brother Nathan who has turned into a ghost and helps Catherine run this haunted hotel with her two other kids, Ben the eldest and Esther the youngest and of course Abaddon the young boy that Nathan brought into the hotel before he died
