Kushina and Minato believe that Naruto's twin older brother, Menma, is more suited to become the successor of the family company. His parents see him as the failure of the family because of his lack of talent in the industry. That's why they forgot that they have a second son. While actually, Naruto has the talent that he hides from everyone except for his best friends Sasuke and Gaara. With both of his friends support, Naruto became a renowned painter. His parents and brother realize this and try to get in touch with Naruto to apologize and to be a family again.

You've seen this fiction a hundred times; Naruto is born, the nine-tailed fox attacks the village, Minato and Kushina survive the nine-tails attack, seal the fox in his other siblings, then leave him behind to "train" his other brothers and sisters.
