In the year 2028 a series of oil pipelines that crossed rivers all around the world burst, poisoning them and rendering them undrinkable, causing mass panic. The world went into chaos. Three years later and the ozone layer burnt up from the continued pollution, the sun burning the world. Now, in 2059, the only safe place is underground, in huge cave-towns. The surface is irradiated to some degree and during the day, it rages with fire. All the water has gone from the Earth, side for the water table and some of the deepest trenches in what was once the Great Oceans. In a slightly AU New York City, things are about to be changed forever. For years, an organization known as Checkmate has been trying to push the limits of humanity, while keeping a worldwide peace. A terrorist group known as Sundown has been highly against it, going so far as to try and blow up Checkmate bases. In a cataclysmic event between the two, lives have been changed forever. This day was forever recorded as "Rebirth". An explosion has left nothing but a cloud of gas in it's wake. And inside it, the properties of the mutagen that was sure to push the mortal coil past it's peak. Right place at the wrong time, Drew Mills found himself at the center of the explosion, inhaling in the fumes from the gas. It mutated his genetic structure, bringing his body to it's full potential. Only, he wasn't the singular change. The gas was widespread across the Bronx, killing many and mutating survivors. In the aftermath of Rebirth, Checkmate has been working to fix the mess they in part created. There has been no word from Sundown, and the streets have been littered with powered people for months. And Checkmate CEO, Alexander Mills, has been utilizing his son for purposes of containing the aberrant threats that run rampant throughout New York. However, there's a deeper story to be told. A mystery of Rebirth and it's Origins. One that will leave the lives of everyone involved changed forever.

Life is an art but it's a destiny. The day a baby is born its journey into destiny starts. It's the case with every living organism. To be more precise, once a baby is born it's replete with the physique most of the time. It seldom goes into a freak composition. This happens in the case of birds and animals also. We've seen a limping tiger or a monkey. Such a contrast could be seen not as a result of an accident but owing to some strange occurrence by nature. People may negate this point and attribute the reality to some genetic defect or a percussion of man's exploitation of natural phenomenon. Whatever be the reason we must admit there's an aberration in all walks of life and that's not warranted but imposed by nature. Here's an attempt to highlight the aberration we come across in day today life. People may think such things happen only to certain underprivileged ones among them. It's not correct. Aberration is widely present with most of us. Some may consider it's unfortunate that they alone face the awkwardness of aberration. Once they make a reading of this write up they'll be convinced it's otherwise. Some acquire or get infected and the act doesn't get dislodged unless the persons concerned are criticized or condemned badly. What's surprising is the deviation also ends up in fruitful accomplishment of certain tasks which otherwise is insurmountable! All together aberration is not undesirable as it benefits then and there. Day in and day out there goes a lot of things, some we relish and some we hate but life constitutes both. Experience is the reality than hearsay. The write-up is a compilation of events spanning my boyhood to manhood besides my involvement both in personal and public life. Liam is a world renowned serial killer. Nothing fazes him -- murder, drugs, not even love. He takes victims to try and save humanity from the aberrations. He believes that they will die if he doesn't save them, and when he can't, he kills them himself.

The story paints the world of someone trapped in the next plane of existence, incapable of proceeding to the life beyond or oblivion and equally incapable of crossing back into life. Every thing is non changing in this realm and even time fails to exist. hunger and all other feelings of the flesh are gone and there's just one thing he can do, advice people by influencing their thoughts. This being had gazed into oblivion and knows it's torments, he is faced with a choice, to lead people to oblivion or to lead them to life eternal. His choice would have been a straight forward one had his murderer not been one of the persons sent his way
