A short fic about High Queen Ansel of Briarcliff and Witch Queen Manon Blackbeak. DISCLAIMER: This world, and all characters except for new members of Ansel's court, belong to Sarah J Maas. This is a fanfic set after the events of Kingdom of Ash, and includes spoilers for the series finale. A promise was made to share the land of the Western Wastes, now that the ancient curse has broken. But the politics of the union are divisive, and both Queens were built for battle, not courtrooms. Sparks, words and weapons will fly mercilessly as the two fight for their peoples, and the shaky alliance required to save them all. Just when they think they've got each other figured out, a mutually unwanted romance could threaten all they've worked for. Or save them both. This is a mansel ship fic - once I've written the main fic I might continue with some one shots; we'll see how it goes. Updates probably about once a month.
