Five teenagers are born after a nuclear war and are discovering that they each now possess abilities that they did not have before. Their journey starts in a small town in Louisiana and they are trying to make their way to Canada where they hear that there are more people who survived the war. They are met with dangerous encounters and peril. Will they survive?

She finds it odd since that's never happened before and finds a interest in that fact and wants to find out why, though in doing that she needs to get to know him more to find her answers. Through getting to know him, will she catch feelings for him? Or will she only use him to get to the answers to her longing question?
