Anthony soon realizes that the parts of the galaxy her species stems from is highly dangerous making for interesting encounters in his near future. (This is after the original book!)

None of that stuff is true, yet you still believe it. Being a vampire sucks, literally. You're immortal and you can't even look at yourself in the mirror(Those two are true). I'm not alone, I live in a place run by freaks, a circus. But everything is about to change. Some for the better, some for the worse.

Nyx has been awaiting her death. After a pair of explorers discovered a temple hidden deep in the underground caves of Antarctica, they took a sample of a rock unlike anything anyone has ever seen before. However, they didn't know how much they've doomed humanity until it was too late. A virus found in it was released and spread like wildfire. It started with the youngest, turning them into mere corpses and snatching away any light they held within. It ravaged their body with a load of intense pain and sickness till all left was a shell of the person they used to be. After dozens of tests and experiments were run on the infected, no cure was found. The only thing they came upon and were fully sure about is that the virus only affected children no older than seventeen. No one understood this anomaly, but one thing was clear: Humanity was coming to its end. After two years since the virus took over our world, the population of children went from 2 billion to less than 10 million across the planet. It's only about time it takes me too.
