Abondonedchild Stories

When sixteen-year-old Mara Ndlovu is forced to drop out of school to take care of her dying mother, she believes life can't get any harder. But everything shatters when her father brings home another woman-Nomsa, and her daughter, Ayanda. From the moment they walk through the door, a quiet war begins. Hidden behind closed doors, Mara becomes the target of cruel abuse. Her stepmother wants her gone. Her stepsister wants her broken. And together, they want her mother dead. With her father believing every lie they speak, Mara fights to protect the only person who ever loved her-a mother slipping away faster each day. This is a story of pain. Of betrayal. Of a girl who was left in the shadows yet chose to love anyway. And of a mother whose final wish was that her daughter survives the darkness that tried to swallow her whole.
