After watching a bug's life for the first time, I couldn't help but think about what that could actually look like albeit a joke in Toy Story 2

The ant colony has been free for seventeen years thanks to Flik defeating Hopper. The only things that changed in the colony were freedom of innovation to make a difference as well as Flik becoming Queen Atta's consort. The two also have three kids, Jet, Jade, and Fern. Fern, the heiress, is very stubborn and misbehaved and never gets along with her mother, who wants her to be a well behaved ruler. What makes things worse for Ant Island is that another rival species, the scorpion empire has conquered their colony, and the ants will do anything to get rid of them.

Lincoln was shrunken by Lisa Loud after he and his friend Lucas were tricked by Preston Northwest into getting a surprise. As soon as the two boys were trapped in the mansion's lab, they meet up with their bug friends to form alliance. However, they learn that Lisa has made a new breed of ant that can destroy anything in it's path as the small inhabitants are threaten to be destroyed. Will they stop these ants or Lisa wins?

5 years after the events of the film, the ant that set the colony free from the grasshoppers grasp is now gone. Flik and Atta were expecting their first child together but he died a week before the due date. How will Atta go on without Flik? How will the colony handle the news that the hero ant is no longer with them?
