New territories lie far away from the stories we know of. These cats don't know of the great Firestar. They've never heard of Sharptooth. Not even Half Moon. Aetherclan rests in the mountains north of the valley. Gaeaclan roams the land to the west. Abyssclan conquers the shallows to the east. To these three clans, Silverpelt is just a lovely sight in the night sky, instead of the resting place for warriors of the lake. These cats have harnessed the power of flames, and use them in the sacred ritual that takes place every full moon to honor Emberclan.

Three clans, Cavernclan, Gorgeclan, and Abyssclan all face hardships in clan life. Darkpaw believes she is going to rule Cavernclan one day, but as the chance of war strengthens, she has no where to turn. Who can she trust, and more importantly, can she trust herself?
