Luna, una sedicenne americana in pieno lockdown, una sera trova sulla sua scrivania una misteriosa lettera a quanto pare proveniente dal passato. Il misterioso messaggio le viene scritto da Astoria, una ragazzina di dodici anni vivace e impertinente vivente nel 1540. Luna, da subito convinta di uno scherzo, decide di stare al gioco, e le risponde. Le due ragazze si conoscono, piano piano, lettera dopo lettera, e scoprono molte cose l'una dell'altra (ma anche di loro stesse) che non avrebbero mai immaginato. Tuttavia la loro amicizia è continuamente minacciata dagli innumerevoli fattori esterni. Riusciranno le due ragazze a non spezzare il loro legame?

The work depicts an atmosphere steeped in memory and decadence through the image of an antique grandfather clock, a tangible symbol of the passing of time and the inevitable decay of life.
