Sofia "Sofi" Mendoza never planned on becoming an Accountancy student.
At sixteen, she enters the prestigious University of Saint Victoria with one simple goal: graduate, get a stable job, and help her family escape poverty.
Accountancy was never really her dream. She chose it because her uncle is a CPA and because, according to everyone around her, it was a practical choice.
Besides, how hard could it be?
Apparently, very hard.
On her very first day, Sofi arrives late, gets lost inside the enormous university, and immediately catches the attention of her terrifying Basic Accounting professor, Mr. Francisco.
Then there's her seatmates-Alex, the boyish and straightforward girl, and Danica, the bubbly and kikay one. What starts as a random seating arrangement soon becomes a friendship that will carry them through sleepless nights, failed exams, heartbreaks, and everything college has to offer.
But college becomes even more complicated when Sofi crosses paths with someone she never expected to meet.
He's smart.
He's disciplined.
He hates careless people.
And unfortunately for Sofi, he seems to hate her.
They are complete opposites.
She talks too much.
He barely talks.
She makes mistakes.
He expects perfection.
She laughs at everything.
He rarely smiles.
Yet somehow, the more they clash, the closer they become.
Between academic pressure, family responsibilities, friendship, dreams, and a love neither of them planned for, Sofi will slowly discover that not every mistake is something you have to regret.
Because sometimes...
the biggest mistake you make becomes the person you never want to lose.
And maybe-
he will become her favorite mistake.
