The wind swept wildly through the street, pushing its full strength into Jeong Sejoon's back as he walked steadily towards the shadowed apartment complex. No one ever seemed to be outside. Everyone was always cooped up in their home, their car, or a store. No one ever walked anywhere, except for Sejoon. He didn't have a car or a bike. He could barely keep up with the rent at his apartment. It could have been more bearable if there were friendly neighbors, but no one had ever shown their face around there. It was almost... creepy. It's not like this area was a ghost-town. There were plenty of people who lived in this small city. They just weren't sociable. And if they ever were, they didn't want to include Sejoon. He was new to the town and liked its vintage charm, but those warm feelings went away in his first month there. He was just scraping by, living paycheck to paycheck. There was no character left in these old buildings - just money down the drain. He thought he'd always be alone, cooped-up, and almost in poverty. However, Cheon Minjoon, a newcomer, came to town looking for a roommate. It seemed Sejoon's social and financial situations could finally be uplifted.

In the secret Seelen Society seele boy James is set to fall. Every year a group of soulmates are read off a list and taken to the falling. James has his misgivings about the ceremony. For the past few years, James has been living under the assumption that he just didn't have one. Honestly he thought that he was incapable of having one. It's not like he wanted one Still, James decides that he would make his parents proud and set out to his falling with grace or as much grace as this clutzy boy can manage. James is willing to do whatever is necessary to be viewed normal though and that meant playing his part. Even if it makes him sick to his stomach. Yet when James is inevitably paired up with the half-seele girl Sara, who knows nothing of Seelen Society, problems arise. And not the ones James had thought would. Sara is determined to leave Seelen Society and return to her mother, but dark secrets shadow her past and staying is the only option allowed of her. At least until her 18th birthday anyway. Having custody signed over from her mother to what she perceives to be a cult, she isn't entirely happy to be here. Getting paired with James isn't the worst thing she can think of though. He was nice-ish. Still, she wasn't about to make it easy on James especially since everybody seems to assume they are going to be married. Something she has no intention of ever doing with anybody.

They are all friends and have known each other for at least a couple of years. Aiden moved to Hamilton High from Nashville in their freshman year and made friends with Ivy and Hera. By the end of freshman year, Skyler and Phoenix became a part of their group. Ivy likes to call them 'the queer squad'. It's fitting, seeing as they're all part of the LGBTQ+ community. Not all of them are out, however. Skyler is bisexual. Ivy is a lesbian, Phoenix is not only aromantic and asexual, but they're also nonbinary, and Hera is pansexual. But Aiden is still in the closet. No one except for his small group of close-knit friends know he's gay. As the senior year goes on, things get hectic. People get together, a sibling gets hit and their brother gets into a fight, a boy breaks his arm skateboarding and can't hold his boyfriend's hand. Someone's father leaves after they come out to their family. Another girl gets into a car crash and one of her family members passes. Senior year is supposed to be fun. It's supposed to be the year where you enjoy as much of your childhood you can. But for the 'queer squad', almost everything goes wrong. But they all stick together. They always do.

I suck at descriptions so I'm just going to give you the basic overview, ok? There's this girl. 14 years old, English. She has thought she was straight her whole life. Well. Apart from having a crush on a girl at age ten. Now she's so confused, because she finds herself not only attracted to guys but-well..you'll have to read and find out won't you? I can't give away the whole plot in the description! P.S. And yes I know I'm terrible at descriptions, but give it a chance ok? P.P.S. And ignore the picture I had no idea what to put ok? P.P.P.S. This story may also contain scenes of neglect, abuse from parent to child, abuse in a romantic relationship, some violence, and some scenes of depression or anxiety. The story will not revolve around these scenes but will include them as they are part of life and I wish for this to be realistic. I will not go into huge amounts of detail however as I understand this may be upsetting to some people. P.P.P.P.S. I'm sorry if it's really terrible by the way, I've always wanted to write but have never been very good at it.
