Aceromance Stories

A series of short stories written for my enjoyment. These stories take place after the conclusion of my two D&D campaigns and features my two player characters and their partners. Anyone who isn't 1 of 4 people will probably not understand any of the context of their history. Might still be a fun read though! I promise I'm a decent writer :)

As a librarian working in an underwater library, Ramos likes his peace and quiet, which is distrubed only a few times a year when an author swims by to do a book signing. This time around, it's Kai, a famous writer of steamy romances going by the pen name Phish Seaman, and despite never reading any of his books, Ramos greatly dislikes the man even before meeting him, the pen name being the majority of the reason. Once the signing is over, Ramos is relieved that he will never have to see Kai again. Or so he thinks until the library finds itself with no funding thanks to the new, corrupt mayor. With his library in danger of closing, Ramos has to enlist help from Kai, asking him to come by again for another book signing if only to get a few more months to figure out a new plan to keep the library afloat. Kai does a lot more than that, and the more time he and Ramos spend together, the closer they get, until their tentative friendship turns into something else. Much as Ramos doesn't want to. They/Them pronoun writing practice, I try not to cheat and use names too much- nothing polished- enjoy it? maybe? ^-^ if this story has any direction at all it's this: one of them has magic, the other does not know. The one without magic thinks the other is in love with them because they act weird to hide their magic. They are, but still- magic is as ◇forbidden◇ as their love would be...maybe) But which of them is which? ;] -Figuring this story out as I go, here's what I know so far: They are both from the city, they are both a bit posh, they are trying to get through a forest. It is a magical forest?? One has the hobby of climbing city roofs and buildings, the other.. does not. (Narration note: The trees are not telling this story but the narrator can tell what the trees are thinking, but they cannot tell for Sim or the "roofhopper") About them: Short: practical supplies, poncho, purple. Light. Strong. Long hair. Enjoys nightime. Thinks the other's nickname is prance, doesn't realise they are a prince. Tall: clumsy, heels, overdressed. Dense in more ways than one. Nail polish. Dark eyes. It's past their bedtime. Keeps getting called prance instead of prince, hasn't corrected it yet.

I may try my hand at composing my very own story! *gasp* I haven't attempted anything vaguely similar to fictional writing since a 5th grade assignment that I ended up burning due to my unyielding rage towards my own, imperfect writing style, so I guess we'll just see what happens with this. Who knows? I might even enjoy it.
