I know it sounds weird, but I always imagined Chaos (Castor) from Once Upon A Broken Heart with a significant other. I know that people ship him with Lala , but I don't really see it. This is the story of how him and Allette met and the journey of how they got here. This just a brainstorm, so don't take it too seriously. But I would love any feedback you have!!!

His fingers, which had been pressing a fresh cloth against my wounds, stilled. Something shifted in the air between us. "...Say it again," he murmured, his voice quieter this time. I frowned, confused. "Castor." It wasn't the name itself, but the way I said it-soft, almost hesitant. Like I was trying to figure out who he was beyond the version I had built in my mind. We can go anywhere, I just want to have you close." Evangeline said, looking at him and sobbing so hard. "Little fox, please let me go, I only came here because I thought you were sleeping, and I needed to see you at least one last time." It was the biggest lie Jacks had ever told, he knew Evangeline was awake, he wanted to hear her voice one last time before he left. "No, you can't do this to me." Evangeline put her hands on Jacks' shoulders, he felt her tremble. "I can't watch you die again, I can't." With blood on his face, he was breaking down in front of her.

"I'm starting to think this is much more than a game, and I don't think that's a good thing." Stories never truly end, even when the final word of a book is written. Evangeline and Jacks found their happy ending, as well as Scarlet, Julian, Tella, and Legend. And now, Legend is hosting another Caraval, in which Evangeline and Jacks have decided to attend. With the characters from both Once Upon a Broken Heart and Caraval in the same setting, working together and betraying one another, chaos errupts and drama unfolds. They begin to wonder if maybe they shouldn't have attended Caraval, risking everything they worked so hard for as their happy endings suddenly seem to be in danger. Is this really a game, as the performers of Caraval always claim? Or does this run much deeper, sourced from anger and jealousy and violence? Will everyone get their happy endings back once more? Or will they leave Caraval with everything that is most dear to them now lost for good? Multiple POV's All characters belong to Stephanie Garber

This story is for anyone who was disappointed with A Curse for True Love. It takes place immediately after Ballad of Never After in the OUABH series.
