You are my Greatest Autumn.

[One shot written for 'A Chance to Fall' Contest] As the leaves started to fall, my thoughts drifted to you. Memories of what could have been continuously replayed in my mind. Wherever you are, I hope you never think of me again.

This is a standalone story written for the A Chance to Fall competition. Prompt: As another year passes, the fragrance of autumn prompts us to snuggle under a blanket, and I find myself daydreaming about being with you. A short vignette about a married couple and their simple life.

A friendship between famous f1 driver Lando Norris and Maddie Johnson that slowly turns into a deep romantic relationship. Despite their different personalities, they find themselves drawn to each other and their feelings for each other gradually change from platonic to romantic. The story explores the challenges they face as they navigate their new feelings and the complexities that come with transitioning from friends to lovers. It is a tale of love, friendship, and the journey of discovering true love in an unexpected place.

Short story for "A Chance To Fall" writing contest by Romance. Using the writing prompt: "You visit a pumpkin patch hoping to adopt sad little pumpkins, giving them a chance to find a home for the season. Instead, you encountered someone in need of a second chance at love." Hope you like it!!!

"Want to hear something cheesy?" he asks me "What?" I turn to face him removing my attention from the beach sand that has currently become my canvas "how many seasons do we have?" I raise my brow confused "Seasons? like dry and rainy season?" he nods "What does that have to do with anything" I add "How many seasons do we have?" he asks again ignoring my question as if telling me to just go with it I sigh "two seasons, why?" "what about in the western countries, how many seasons?" "Four" I reply "what season is it currently there?" "I don't know, I don't live there," I say nonchalantly not understanding where he is driving to "It is the perfect season to be in love," he says smiling and looking at me "How so?" "The season reminds me to fall in love with you over again" he says with a wide smile "God abeg" was all I could as I laughed at the cringe rizz but heaven knows my heart smiled so wide it skipped a beat.

Just like an autumn leaf, like the seasons, love can sometimes be fleeting. But sometimes it lasts longer than one can imagine. The lingering memories of a loved one is all that there is left. Memories of a person who has passed away or left far away from them. Sometimes life is like an autumn leaf. Copyright©ju7393|November|2023
