He was meant to die at Gale Point. He didn't. Ingressus Voltaris, the Deathsinger, achieved what he set out to do. He struck down his closet childhood friend, Achillean Nestoris, securing the Aggressium Prime Song and cementing his path of vengeance. The guilt was supposed to be the hardest part. But the hardest part is discovering the strike wasn't fatal. When Achillean steps back onto the battlefield--wielding the Mobilium Prime Song and marching right into the crossfire--the Second Great War fractures. Achillean doesn't want revenge. He offers forgiveness, determined to save Ingressus from his own darkness, even if he has to break Ingressus's weapons to do it. Trapped between a resurrected best friend who refuses to hate him, and a ruthless Voltaris veteran, Balthazar, who is ready to mutiny at the first sign of weakness, Ingressus's resolve begins to crumble. To make matters worse, a cynical, clanless healer named Zephyr (xe/xem) is pulling strings from the shadows, and a hot-headed Nestoris protege is hunting Ingressus down for blood. Can Ingressus finish the crusade he started, or will the ghost of his past rewrite the future of Ardonia?

Long ago, the ardoni clans lived in harmony. Everything changed when the Voltaris clan allegedly discovered and abused the prime songs for their self interests. The Voltaris clan were exiled into the mountains, and were systematically massacred by the other clans. The most recent attack had claimed the life of the Voltaris Master and left the succession a mystery to be solved. Damien Voltaris, one of the remaining survivors of these attacks, must now investigate what happened during the fateful day, and save his clan before it is too late. The story takes place before and during the first Great War.

Mistakes are terrible. Depending on how bad they are, they can turn into living nightmares. Master Aegus is one of the unfortunate ones. He could had spoken up somehow at the tournament to stop Ingressus from going on his crazed rampage. What would it have taken? A few sentences? An argument? An hour? Or he could had stopped the Voltaris from going to the tournament in the first place. Master Aegus has a problem with sharing with others his emotional struggles. It doesn't take long before guilt starts to make you crumble-unless you find the courage to share it with someone you trust. 𝐀 𝐒𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐖𝐚𝐫 𝐟𝐚𝐧𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐀𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧.

After the mysterious death of Achillean, it's up to Ingressuss to find out who did it and why? But that might be a challenge as the person who did it was clever and covered their tracks. This adventure leads Ingressuss to places he has never seen and meets new friends along the way. Can Ingressuss find out who did it before time runs out? We can only hope!

During the tournament, Ingressus reveals himself as a Voltaris, but is turned down. Just before he is taken away, Achillean finds the courage to speak up for his brother.
