The party died down and Marty's girlfriend had left but not before making a comment about him having four beer before he got here. All night he was sending flirty glances across the table when she wasn't looking and I had to admit he had a boyish Cham about him that was hard to resist. "Another round of tequila please" Daryl said. This was probably my 9th shot of tequila tonight and iv been drinking double rum and cokes, nothing good can come when you mix the two. I glanced over at Marty his chocolate eyes looking at me. My stomach did a little twist. Stop. He has a girlfriend I had to remind myself. The waitress came to the table with another round of tequila, "To the new senior inspector" Marty said sending me a wink. I was now the oldest new person the company had. We all clinked the shot glasses and downed the tequila. Chris stood up from the table. "Smoke break." I stood up and put on my jacket, following Chris down the stairs effortlessly with my high heals on. We sat down on the edge of the brewskis ledge. My buzz was defiantly strong tonight. "He keeps looking at you, ya know." "I seen him looking once or twice. He has a girlfriend I can't go there." "I don't blame him, you are a pretty girl." We laughed and exhaled another puff of the cigarette. I tossed the butt on the ground and walked back in and up the stairs stoping to the bathroom.

Ace's parents are never home and when they are its nothing but hell for him. They fight and drink more then ever. Ace has tried to reach out to people for help but once he took his walls down people would walk away because he wasn't "the bad boy" they thought he was. This leaving Ace to build his walls thicker every time. Carly and Ace had a past but they don't bring it up. They dated but it was nothing like you high school on and off again relationship. They were together for a long time and knew a lot about each other. They tragically broke up after Ace cheated on Carly. They have not talked once since that night 2 years ago. This is until Carly needs help getting away from her mom and has nobody to run to and Ace needed help with his grades. Lets see how them both needing each others help can bring them back together and closer then they have been in the past 2 years. Will they get back together? Will Carly run away from everything?
