*Set in a reality where Rhysand didn't interrupt Azriel and Elain's kiss on Winter Solstice* Elain and Azriel have been pining after each other for years, never once admitting it to another person. Get a job at PSA, better known as the Prythian Space Agency, move in with Cassian in one of those perfect apartments in the suburbs, adopt a dog and spend the rest of her life with him. When her plans are completely screwed up by his, Nesta will be forced to face some of the most difficult moments of her life knowing that Cassian may not always be there by her side.

Azriel notices there's something wrong with Elain. She's trying to hide something from him, and has been pulling away from the Inner Circle for months. Before he can find out what, however, his shadows are cursed, rendering his magic useless. At a loss, Azriel enlists Gwyn to help research and hopefully lift the curse, before Elain can do something she regrets. This will be a medium-burn gwynriel and a slightly dark!Elain story. The preface takes place in ACOSF (specifically the Az bonus chapter) while the rest of the story is post-ACOSF. Rated M for future lemons.
