Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (ACTA) is created in an aim to integrate Intellectual Property (IP) enforcement standards that go beyond current international law, shifting the discussion to a democratic multilateral form.

The story takes place in the distant future billions of years ahead of our time. The Earth has been saved from annihilation by ancient humans that wanted to protect it for nostalgic reasons. These ancient humans have travelled far beyond Earth but have come back to observe the progress of the beings now inhabiting it. Astredes is a warrior living on the ancient Earth. She has no knowledge of what lies beyond the planet, but intends to find out what happened to the humans who left the planet behind.
