There's something deeply unsettling about Hurry Up Tomorrow, and I mean that as a compliment. This isn't a thriller that jumps out at you - it slowly creeps in, wrapping around your thoughts with every passing scene.
The Weeknd delivers a performance that is as haunting as it is human. His character is a music icon who's burning out under the constant spotlight. What makes this different from the typical "celebrity falls apart" narrative is how quietly it all happens. It's not explosive - it's silent, sad, and scarily believable.
The visuals are gorgeous and unsettling. There's a soft glow to everything, almost dreamlike, but underneath it is tension and dread. The soundtrack, unsurprisingly, is excellent - but what really caught me off guard was how restrained and poetic the dialogue felt.
Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan add layers of complexity, giving the story depth and unpredictability.
This isn't a film you just watch. It's one you feel. And for fans of emotionally driven cinema, it delivers something rare: honesty.
