A story about a group of friends that have grown to have a mutual care and understanding of each other or so they thought ⚠️ WARNING⚠️This has violence and mentions of trauma in it read at your own risk.

When Giovanni Vastola, a doctor working at the best hospital in Hillview, takes a nap on his shift something strange happens. He wakes up, still in his office... But it's dark. There's little to no light down either side of the hallway, lights flickering dimly with rubble laying on the marble floors and dark substances caked on the walls. It was undoubtedly the hospital, but what could have possibly happened while he was asleep? Surely he'd wake up if he heard something and there's no way it was abandoned; he'd just talked to Officer Coleton this morning. A low shuttering growl came from the right end of the hallway, and in the dust and smoke floating in the air he saw what looked like glowing golden eyes peering at him. The creature was unseen, but the noises and eyes filled Gio with terror.

A Novelization of the 2002 video game The Thing. Captain John Blake of the US Special Forces has fought in nearly every environment on the planet. From running down drug runners in Mexico to kidnappers in South America to Counter-Terrorism ops all over Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, he's seen and done it all. Or so he'd thought. Blue is determined to fix an abandoned ship, The Skeild, but the discovery of an alien parasite living inside him changes that. Blue must try to expose himself as the imposter to the other nine crewmates while constantly fighting for control of his own mind before he is forced to kill every one of them. * * This is my first story, so if you're more experienced than me, I'd love some tips and constructive criticism in the comments. The story takes place on The Skeild map from the popular video game Among Us! by InnerSloth LLC. All art is by me and the story is by me. * There's some cursing, body horror, and gore, so be careful if you're sensitive to that stuff. * I also have characters using neopronouns and almost everyone is LGBTQ+, so if you want a little representation, there's some here.
