Her pov: "I opened my eyes after how many minutes I don't know but I started feeling a sharp pain in my ankle that I gasped near a crying scream. I noticed I was swinging in someone's shoulder, but I didn't find the force to speak. I was in so much pain and felt uncomfortable. I was upside down and all I could see was the ground and his black clothes. I tapped on his lowerback so he could answer. He threw me a bit harder on his shoulder when he felt like I was slipping. Suddenly I felt so small compared to him. "Don't worry little mouse me and you will talk about this." His voice was angry, but also tried to hold it back with patience at the same time."

In the year 21XX, It was hard to tell the difference between real and synthetic when walking the streets of Xernea City. The walls were as augmented as the people who walked within them. Slowly over decades the corruption of the city has brought humanity's moralistic integrity to an all time low, accelerated by the ever advancing pushes of technology. The Xernea Police Department already had it's hands full, seeing how it's officers were all once convicts themselves. A female operative of the XPD, Motoko Vashti, happened to regain her life through one of these convict-to-justice contracts. But is quickly learning that in a false world, no one can be trusted.

Twenty-five years after the cure was created, society has yet to fully recover from the zombie apocalypse. The Cure is smuggled, bootlegged, hoarded, or hidden away - it has eclipsed the barter system.
