Adaline Lexington is your average 18 year old human girl living in New Jersey in the year 3020. Elliot Andrews is your average 19 year old Radioactive mutant living in New Jersey in the year 3020. ~~~ Back in 2020, there was a virus named COVID-19. It weakened half of Earth's population. Once people started to get a little better, the Earth got worse. The worlds largest nuclear power plant exploded, causing a lot of radiation to fill the air. All those who were sick with COVID-19 and had weak immune systems, got the brunt of the radiation poisoning. Instead of killing all those citizens, the radiation caused them to mutate. They started to get powers, like no one could explain. They could suddenly lift things with their minds, or read other people's minds. Everybody had different powers. Due to the powers of the mutants, the rehabilitation of the Earth went by much quicker. 3020 was the year that everything was finished and Earth was restored to its former glory. Young Adaline has always hated her home. She hates the neighborhood, her school, and her town. Her life is filled with break-in's, murders, and mean girls who sadden her days. So when a mysterious stranger shows up at her door, asking to take her on an adventure she immediately says yes. But the farther she gets into this adventure the more she begins to doubt her safety. Will this stranger take her away from the violence. Or bring her closer to it than she has ever been.

Did I miss it before? I glanced at the sign on top of the door. I realized this is the area of my supposed class. Maybe the class hall is here? Grabbing the door handle and push it, but it won't budge. Why is it not working? Is it lock or something? The first class of the first semester, and I have already blown it up. I fluttered my eyelids closed, slowing my breath in, and blew it out softly, trying to calm myself down from panicking. Maybe if I try to push it again, it will slide open, so I grab the handle and push it again. But no luck. Sighed, I leaned my head down against the door. What am I going to do-- "You need to pull, not push", an amused deep voice stated behind me. My eyes immediately fluttered open and turned to the owner of the voice. His familiar addicting green eyes snap straight to mine. Reece King? "There's a sign there, to pull the door, not push" he continued teasingly as he sees me still in confusion. For what it seems like a hot minute of our eyes staring at each other, I forced my head to turn toward the signs that he was talking about. Realizing it is true, I immediately feel the warmth begin to grow on my cheeks. Well, this is embarrassing. How did I even miss the obvious sign that was attached to the side of the door? I thanked him quietly, without turning to him as I don't have the bravery to look back at him again, I pulled the door open and swiftly went straight in, searching for my class again. "I helped you and now you're running away? Well, that's not nice" he teased as he follows me behind.
