Jerome killed his mother in cold blood cause of the way she mistreated her son. Jerome played his cards as if he didn't know why his mother was murdered. Then at the age of 18 he gets brought into the interrogation room with his blind father. Jerome sets almost all of his cards down showing that he, of course killed his mother. A year passes and Jerome, now placed in Arkham Asylum, has a dark sinister plan.
