And Venus was her name.' Venus Callisto's odd and unusual name basically described her. Venus, meaning goddess of beauty, Callisto, meaning sweet, kind and most beautiful. Though, nothing about her, to her or anyone else in the town River Peak; Which was in the middle of nowhere; thought she was inhuman. Well that is, until she is kidnapped and finds herself in Texas, a place fulled of different mythical beings. Including a few gods. ;)

Hot shot is five years old. He lives with his parents Heatwave and Quickshadow. Hot shot loves to run, jump, climb and play. He loves to be active. They all live in Fort Worth Texas. Hot shot is very happy and healthy. However soon he starts to feel unwell. A few days later he gets much worse and his parents take him right to Cook Children's Hospital ER. There all kinds of tests are done. Hot shot is then diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma a type of bone and soft tissue cancer. Hot shot is ready to be brave. Hot shot befriends four other kids his age with the same type of cancer. They decide to fight their cancer together and become the best of friends. They are determined to win too! (Humanized)

Hot shot is five years old he loves to run jump climb and play. He is very active and playful. He lives with his parents Heatwave and Quickshadow. They live in Fort Worth Texas. Hot shot lives a very normal life. One day Hot shot was playing outside minding his own business. When suddenly a drunk driver speeds into his yard hitting him. Hot shot is badly hurt and off duty EMT provides aid. Quickshadow calls 911 and Hot shot is taken to Cook Children's hospital where doctors determine that Hot shot is paralyzed from the waist down and needs a wheelchair. Hot shot takes it in stride. He soon meets four other kids his age who had a similar accident. They become the best of friends and learn to use their new wheelchairs together. (Humanized)

I retort as he steps closer to me. "We'll see about that." --------------- Arista Ulanti is a Air Nomad girl who is a optimistic, dorky, smiley person who always believed in trying to do her best. In which a shy, abused and panic attack prone girl quickly gets over the worst of her fears when she meets one of the sweetest boys on campus. Eliana Trueblood, would rather be called Eli. Her given name can have the ability to trigger a panic attack and bad memories. The mention of simple events can also cause trigger an attack or onslaught of memories. She was bullied from kindergarten up until she was in the sixth grade, skipped the whole curriculum and went into seventh grade. It didn't help her any that in lonesome, drunken rages her father would abuse her.

My whole life i lived in a forrest with my wolf family. I never thought there is something more out there, but then he came and bring me to his home. That day everything changed and i had to start acting like something i never was, like a human.

In this new environment, they have to learn how to adapt, the meaning of hard work and how to have trust in others and themselves. And also how to fall in love. "You think, you know what's going on? You have no freaking idea. So do us all a favour and mind your own business!" I yelled at him. I know, I sounded like a major bitch and maybe I was too harsh, but he needed to be put in place by someone. "Alright, I may not know what's going on, but I am trying. I am fucking trying. And all you do is hiding behind a mask of ice. What I do know is, that you're hurt and I want to help you so bad. But you need to trust me. You need to let me in. " His calm tone wasn't something he ever used on me before. It was always sarcastic or angry. To say I was shocked was an understatement. A story I wrote for one of my practice English exam wasn't really sure where I was taking it but I quite like it. Learning to adapt is a short story which tells you a bit about getting use to moving and adapting to new places. Also learning to start all over again. My mom always says the only constant in life is change. Change is upon us. I can feel it. We both can. I've never really been afraid of the unknown, but this is different. This is bad and its coming right at us. Getting closer and closer with nothing we can do to stop it. All we can do it wait.

A young girl, Sorana Nozomi, has a contagious illness, which is extrapulmonary tuberculosis (EPTB). She got diagnosed with it in her early childhood. Ever since then, Sorana has been put up in a hospital, which was how she spent most of her life in. She grew up in the hospital and she has learned to adjust to some of the problems it includes. But for years, she's been wanting to get out and see the world. When she finally gets the opportunity to see the world, it also comes with a disadvantage: she will have to spend it with people. But besides all of that, she somehow starts to romantically bond with a boy. But here's the problem: they can't happily be together due to her disease. How is Sorana going to deal with this? Will she date her romantic interest? How? Will Sorana defeat her disease?

"Stop acting concerned!" He yelled in my ear. His voice echoed through the dungeon. He grabbed my shoulders and spun me around. He was about to say something...but he stopped and scanned my face. "You- you're crying...for him?" He asked. I didn't even realize. Alexios was beyond pissed, he wiped my tears harshly with his thumbs. "You will not cry for him because you do not care for him." His teeth were clenched tightly and he almost growled the words. He knew that I didn't cry unless I cared...after all we used to be best friends. Carter was yelling at Alexios in the background pulling in his restraints. But my heart was beating so loudly I was deafened by the sounds outside. "The only person you're allowed to cry for is me."

John Newton is about to complete his sessions with Doctor Olivia Atkins, a psychologist, after nearly six months. John's past and his anger towards the world remains a stress point in their relationship since he doesn't want to open up his heart to Olivia. Another stress point is Wayne Thompson, an old school friend, that suddenly appeared in the scene A group of women that came to visit his mother are stunned when they hear him sing from within the confines of his room. Daily his love for singing increases making his mother happy because she last heard him sang eighteen years ago. An opportunity to participate in a National talent competition adds conflict between him and Olivia, but eventually, he agrees to go for the audition. Olivia follows his progression closely from home in Gordon's Bay. On the morning of the final Christine dies and after yet some more conflict, caused by Wayne, John's mood are down in the dumps. John's sings his heart out the evening exclaiming his love for Olivia through a song.
