Adara is still in shoch that her parents are actually sending her to boarding school. Espiecially when she finds out that her mum is pregnant again. The first day of classes, she is cast in the shadows, and makes no friends. But when Adara is asked to stay after school one day for her her science teacher, Mr. Welson,, she is shocked when he kisses her. Adara doesn't tell anyone, and resists him whenever he tries something else. But when she starts getting low grades in his class, she goes to the principle. Mr. Welson makes an excuse, and Adara knows that she won't be able to get her grades up in any other way. So she gives in.
