Gadis kecil itu bernama Fay. Matanya bening, bulat dan tatapannya tajam, menandakan bahwa ia gadis kecil yang cerdas. Rambut ikalnya selalu ditutupi kain kerudung. Umurnya baru delapan tahun, tetapi kedewasaan berpikirnya telah melampaui anak seusianya. Mungkin karena pengaruh pendidikan dari keluarga dan keadaan hidupnya yang memaksanya begitu. Setelah meninggalnya sang ayah setahun yang lalu, ia harus melanjutkan sekolahnya di desa, jauh dari ibunya dan tinggal bersama kakeknya yang menjadi pemuka agama di sana. Orang-orang kota menyebut kakeknya sebagai Kyai kampung, karena banyak orang mendatangi beliau untuk mengaji dan berbagai keperluan rohani. Kepada beliau pula lah Fay mengaji dan menyelesaikan hafalan al qur'annya. Meski cucu dari seorang Kyai, di sekolahnya yang berstatus negeri, Fay bersahabat baik dengan Nina yang berbeda agama. Nina yang beragama Katholik belajar berbagai hal dari Nina yang beragama Islam, begitu pula sebaliknya. Dari sebuah persahabatan, anak-anak itu belajar mendewasakan sebuah keyakinan. Hingga pada suatu hari, Fay harus menentukan sebuah keputusan. Ia merasa takut jika harus kembali kehilangan satu-satunya orang tua yang masih dimilikinya, seseorang akan meminang ibunya. Namun disisi lain, Fay juga ingin melihat ibunya bahagia, dan mungkin dari pernikahan itulah ibunya akan mendapatkan sebuah kebahagiaan yang diinginkan. Untuk kesekian kalinya, kedewasaan berpikirnya diuji oleh kehidupan.

As you can see from the title/cover, it's about a human who is a disguised alien. He comes with all the luxuries and intelligence from "his" extraordinary, phenomenal technology. Now he tries to live on Earth, unknowingly not wanting to remain at his home. Why you ask? What problems did he try and avoid? The reasoning on starting his "life" over?
