09/17/09 Dear Diary, I'm Summer Miller, I'm 10 years old and live in Atlanta, Georgia. I have medium length blonde hair, I'm 4"8. Yes I know I'm short, there's nothing I can do. Anyways I've decided to keep this diary as someone to "talk to". I've just been lonely ever sense my dad died and my mom went to jail. I was never close to my mom, I never understood her and she didn't understand me. She refuses to tell me why she went to jail, telling me "You'll understand when you're older, Summer." UGH!! My dad died in the war. I told him not to go... But nothing I can do now I guess. I now live with my brother, well kinda. He's 21 and always out partying. Sometimes he'll come home and yell at me. He's rarely home during the day, thank god! He's normally here 1-2 AM then leaves 4-5 AM. When he does come home I do my best to avoid him. His room is right across from mine though, so it's hard.
