But she watched her mother die. Her dad died in the attack, she watched her only home crumble to dust. Alex is the tech savvy, smart, nonbinary, person (they were born a boy but...) Short memos I've written to myself as I've gotten older and older every year about dealing with adjusting to adulthood. This is the thought process that goes through my head on a regular basis and basically some of the mental struggles I've gone through. I've grown a lot as a person over time and you'll see that in my writing as well. I thought I would put this on here so I could keep track of it but also maybe it could help someone else too. Whether it's to feel less alone with your struggles or in an attempt to try to figure yourself out too.

"You are going to Santa Monica with your aunt Clara, and he on the other hand, is going to a private correctional facility." "What! You mean prison?!" "Its alright, Laura, I'm going to be okay! Just be nice to Aunt Clara and Jazmine for me and for yourself. Okay?" "How could you say that! You're going to jail for the rest of your life!" "Laura that doesn't matter I just need you to be safe." "But h-" "No buts I'll see you soon, okay, I promise you." Soon A word so close but then so far away Laura Rivera is a 15 year old newly sophomore, who just recently moved to Santa Monica, California. Laura's parents passed away a couple months before, therefore she's living with her aunt and cousin. While, her older brother, Diego, is serving his time in prison for a crime he didn't commit.
