When Adley Cooper stumbles upon her enemy and rival, Ivan Rivers, entering a magical opening at her school, what does she do? She follows him of course. Was that encounter an accident or fate. "Adley! Why did you follow me?" he complained. Adley fell out of her daze as Ivan shook her hard "What? What was that for?" she said. "You weren't answering me! Now, tell me Why did you follow me?" "What do you mean, why did I follow you?" "Yeah! Tell me!" "You were acting all suspicious in the library. Then you pulled some books in a random order, now that I think about it, it was a code of some sort, right? So anyway, you pulled some books and some secret cave opened up, and you went through. Of course, I was going to follow you, anyone would!"

A short story about how the Darkness has overcome the Kingdom and a group of teenagers have Sought to save it. There is tragic deaths, curses and battles. This story is told in first person pov by the main character, Farren Rae.

Adley's lived her whole life in crime. That's all she's ever known. But when she meets a guy she is asked to steal from, she gets to know him better and maybe even learns a few things.
