It's true that everyone has a story. It's also true that everyone judges someone before they know them. Well, this is true for me. I am Elena Brooks and no one knows the story behind my permanently sad expression. The people who don't know me personally, makes fun of me because of my abusive and drunken mother. His jawline was tight and everything about his face was completely different. I could see the blood on his bottom lip as he continued to stare. The way he tilted his head at me caused my throat to tighten. "Liam" I whispered, "please. Don't do it." I heard him snort. He just kept his grip on Niall's neck. He didn't even loosen it. Niall stopped squirming, which scared me. "Why should I let him go, Zayn?" hissed Liam. "He's just like any other dog. You can get another one." "He's my friend. You know that." I heard him chuckle under his breath....I don't know what it was, but all I could find myself doing was clenching my teeth as my incisors sharpened. I hissed.

This is my second book of poems. They may not be poems to some people, but to me each one has a meaning and is based around something very close to me, someone, but mainly myself... It's my way of letting the emotions out, expressing myself. There's a lot in here, and at times they may be confusing, but that's me. I'm no longer a straight forward, care free person. I'm now someone with a fairly complicated life and at times one I don't even understand anymore... I may sound just like another poetry writer which to some I may be, but every poem is a part of my life and something I've got through or haven't got through. I was not expecting to turn into werewolf on my 16th birthday, definitely not expecting the word Mate to be real and very legit and like the god damn cherry on top my parents joined us to a pack and moved me, my brother and sisters away from our only life we knew. I guess you could say I was suprised but that would be the biggest understatement of the year. The only thing I'm thinking about right now is well things could've been alot worse...... shit I really shouldn't have said that, I pretty much just jinxed myself.
