RATED MATURE BECAUSE OF A SCENE OF ABUSE. After failing to bring Adora back (and facing the wrath of Shadow Weaver) Catra decides to do something she wanted to do a long time ago: Leave the Horde. Now without anyone who would really miss her She heads through the Whispering wood--and away from Brightmoon. But where will she go now that she has lost the one person that supposedly cared about her?

The fighting is finally over, but peace is its own kind of battle. Catra knows that a reckoning is coming, and she deserves it. She ruined the lives of most of the members of the Princess Alliance in one way or another, so they're definitely going to lock her in prison and throw away the key. Right? Adora doesn't think she's ever truly known peace, but with Catra by her side nothing really seems all that scary anymore. She isn't even worried about where She-Ra fits into an Etheria that isn't at war, or how she can make herself useful. Definitely not. While carefully navigating their new relationship, Catra and Adora find something lost and forgotten deep underground in an ancient First Ones ruin. The revelations that follow have implications not just for Catra, but for all Etheria. But distractions have consequences. Something evil stirs in the depths where no-one dares venture, unnoticed and unchecked, that has other plans for She-Ra and her allies. A story about love, purpose, and the sacrifices they demand.

Adora's memory is erased but Hordak and the rest will never trust her after what's happened. So really, aren't things pretty great for Catra? Isn't this just about perfect? And Glimmer should agree - this is best any of them could get.

In order to get more media coverage for their famous rock band, Shadow Weaver bans romantic relationships between all the band members. Adora's fine with Glimmer lip singing over her vocals. She's fine with Shadow Weaver's constant nagging to take over as the lead singer. She's fine being the backup vocalist to the lead singer and playing her bass. She's completely fine with everything. She used to laugh with it, wondering what the next trick Catra would pull. But now she associated that smirk with fire, and gavels and scorching heat. Part of Adora wants to believe this wasn't all Catra's fault. Catra, the new shera, has to face her new position and power when she joins the Brightmoon rebellion, meeting Scopia and Entrapta, the last two princesses on the rebellions side. Adora tries not to let Catras leaving mess with her and confides with her new friends how to take out Brightmoon. Glimmer and Bow help her, Glimmer being Brightmoons defected princess and Bo taking Shadow Weavers place with the name Bow Weaver.
