For I had loved him for a million years and more, Kissed him on the cheek, And drowned in the red waters of his soul. Yet, all he could ever care, Was to look me right in the eyes, and open his fingers to the air leaving me adrift.

We survived the plane crash. ⠀ We survived days on a raft in the middle of the ocean. Right when all hope to get rescued crumbled, we shared a kiss that left me heartbroken―my first and last kiss. ⠀ Or so I thought. Because we didn't die. ⠀ My plan is to never see Chris Ross again. To keep hanging out with his sister without crossing his path. Getting my life back together and working on my goals are the only things that matter. I have plans, and they don't include love. ⠀ But then he shows up at my workplace, asking for my friendship. When I learn something that changes everything, I'm determined to stay away and not let myself fall for him. ⠀ Too bad he's persistent. Too bad I can't stop thinking about the damn kiss. Sad poetry I write when I need to vent about something. I share it in hopes of someone being able to relate to what I write and maybe it will help them. I feel this part of my life has concluded and a similar yet new ongoing poetry collection will be made in place of this one's end.

They say I'm an unlucky child, sumpa daw ang pagkatao ko. I'm basically an outcast, in school and in my family. Whoever gets near to me, they get hurt. "Minamalas" sabi pa nga nila. Just like my name, I'm Adrift, you can call me Addi. Now tell me. Do you wanna get close to me?

Adrift in search of wonder By james a. galgano Above the well-worn subscripts whose ably drawn circumference Continuously embraces each remembered fallen tear from swollen eye. Forever blinking as if to see within each tearing eyelids searing remorse. Within such foolish wonder one often finds their self forever gone awry Like some sinking ship whose anxious crew adrift without given course Drifting to some untimely whirlpool where memories never ably provide Some clear navigation coordinates measuring distance by incalculable of course. There within such treasure map does one's hopes much too often invariably collide. Into eternal vacuous horizon beneath whose embracing reef direction sought Quivers eternally like some tireless rapture upon lingering prayer slim hopes ride. Into almost endless tunnel of well-worn subscripts never learned but often taught Perpetually to each tearful eye flickering like warning light from towering canopy Beneath whose warm embrace within blisters arise unattended upon lesson taught But never learned as one has for longing wanted such offer of resolution to remedy.
