This story is from the perspective of a girl named Elouise Selwyn, a young half-blood witch who has just lost her parents and is now in the care of her god father, Remus Lupin. Having been in hiding since she was a baby, Elouise was home schooled by her parents until their deaths, and is now facing attending Hogwarts for the first time in the wake of Voldemort's return to power. But why did her parents hide her from the world for all these years? Who killed them? Why? What is her part to play?

Harry Potter is an Auror. He and his boyfriend, Draco Malfoy, live together. Harry gets injured on the job, and Draco is not handling it very well. Harry's stuck in a magically-induced coma in order to make sure he doesn't worsen his condition. Draco is reminiscing on his positive memories with the boy who he's terrified he's going to lose.
