Both meet a vampire name Tom and he invite them to their castle. Jake then meets Hunter and that's when both Tom and Hunter falls in love with a human.

(Why did she look so disheveled and...broken, like she'd been surviving on the brink of death for way too long?) Or or, Fiore gets kicked out after she fails to win season one and humiliated herself (she's homeless) and is more than happy to go back to three meals a day and a living space (no matter how shitty) even if everyone there hates her and actively wants to get rid of her, oh well, she could deal with that she guesses (she can't).
