In the world of Adventure Quest Worlds, Xezu is a young man and adventurer who has always struggled to fit in and find companionship. Despite his efforts, he remains single and friendless due to his past mistreatment by society. After reaching rock bottom emotionally, Xezu seeks out an ancient temple believed to hold the key to all desires. There, he encounters a mysterious entity known as "she who holds the key to all desires," whom he bargains with for power. The girl grants him the Orb of Despair, which gives him immense power but also turns him into a vengeful being seeking retribution against those who wronged him. Xezu returns to his former village and wreaks havoc using the powers granted by the orb. He becomes more violent eventually, realizing that revenge won't bring happiness or peace, he leaves his destroyed village behind and sets off into the unknown, searching for something greater than himself leaving his old life behind, but still carries the burden of the Orb of Despair, which continues to consume him from within.

This is a fanmade story event for Adventure Quest Worlds, based around Devil Forger 4 and his origins that his wishes to repress. Just know, that I'm not too terribly good of a writer, and the way it's written is set up differently from other stories, and not to mention, it's pretty fanfiction-y, especially since it's based around my character, so please keep your expectations low. Also, some parts refer to quests that MC goes through that are unspecified, and that's because its based around how it would be in the actual game. Thank you for at least checking this story out.
