I wrote this because I've re-read Empire of Storms too many times and need to move on with fan fiction! :) Please leave comments and tips! In an alternate reality where Rowan and Aelin aren't mates, Aelin has been stuck in the iron coffin with Maeve for months. She has tried anything and everything to get out, to no avail. One day, two portals appear in the middle of the town house. What happens when two strangers appear at breakfast? What is the Inner Circle going to do to help these strangers get back what they lost? Will they have to help fight someone else's war? Aelin has been trapped with Maeve for too long and finally has a chance to get free. When she finally escapes, she's met with the curious faces of people she's never met before. On top of that, she's carrying a heartbreaking secret. Will she trust these strangers with her plan? What will Aelin's court do when these strangers come back with their Queen? (Also, even though SJM is still writing more amazing books, my story will most likely NOT include most of those details.
