Aeron and Helen have been the best of friends since birth. From their time in the cradle till they graduate to high school, they've always been together. In school they are silent and secluded, dubbed the school rejects. Yet at home, full of life, sarcastic comments and comebacks being thrown at each other without a second thought. What happens when an unknown force steps between them? Someone new is in town, and he's not satisfied with just sitting around. A particular Duo has caught his eye perking his interests. What would become of Aeron and Helen and their 'unbreakable' bond when this new stranger takes matters into his own hands and finds pleasure in meddling with their lives? This story was inspired by the viral post of the ABS-CBN reporter, Miss Chiara Zambrano, with his encounter with one of the fallen heroes in Marawi City. p.s. This story was unintentionally almost the same with the "Descendants of the Sun". I just realized that it was almost the same when I had already finished writing it. (This was my assignment with my Short Story instructor.)

In the city of New Vista, the government is strict and controlling, for the betterment of the people. In this futuristic society, an organization has been created by the government to find, track down, and eliminate threats to the government's power and authority. Jade is a member of this organization. After what Jade thinks is just another job, she becomes caught in the middle of conspiracy, rebellion and tyranny; all while trying to maintain her relationship with her brother, who is (ironically) a peace-keeper in the city.
