This is a Why don't we family story. Corbyn and Jonah are a married couple that loves the thought of having kids so they go and Foster three amazing little kids who they will eventually adopt when they are allowed, Jack who is 11, Zach who is 6, and Daniel who is 2. Jack, Zach, and Daniel are from the same parents but went through so much then abandoned like it was nothing. (More details about each character in the first chapter.)

She was the one who packed their lunches, put them to bed, comforted them when they had nightmares, protected them from Daniel, helped them with homework, balanced everyone's activities, went to their games and matches, read them to sleep at night. For as long as Selene Collins can remember she has been living with her abusive foster "father", Daniel. Over the years other foster kids were brought into the household. She has always been the eldest, always the one doing the protecting, but who was there to protect her? Then Daniel acquires one last foster child, Jarrod Riors. He's a bad boy all the way through, and does the whole shabang. He sleeps around, drinks, no drugs but he smokes, has tattoos, breaks all the rules. He arrives and see's a whole household filled with scared children, with one that takes continual abuse for the rest. She see's him and reads the warning signs written all over him. They don't like each other, but can they get along, can they get past the secrets and forgotten pasts that have left them both traumatized? Can they survive Daniel's continual abuse, can she have a friend to rely on to shoulder some of the burden, or will her secret keep her so tightly bound that she can't let go? Will he face the past he has constantly tried to run from, or be crushed by it when it catches up?

I got into the passenger seat of my dads car and he got in the drivers seat. He looked at me when both the doors were shut but he didn't start the car. "Sean" he said to get my attention then paused for a few seconds then carried on "Sean, you know you don't have to go to school today" he looked at me waiting for a response. When none came he continued "if you don't want to you just have to say-" "I want to, dad" I said "I want to go to school." He looked at me. "Dad, I'm fine, seriously." I assured him. "Come on, dad. I'm going to be late." "If you say so" and he turned the car on and we were on our way. *Marks PoV* As I drove to school I thought more and more about Sean and I decided maybe it was best to keep myself to myself for a little while before I introduced myself to him. Although, As far as I knew he didn't hang out with anyone in school. Whenever I saw him he has been sitting alone staring into space. Yeah, Maybe he needs someone. Maybe he needs me. *Mark's PoV* He just stormed out of the classroom. I know I should stay put. I should stay here. I can't move. I mustn't move. I can't do it. I can't bare to see him that upset. Before I knew it, I was also running down the corridor after him shouting his name. This is when I realised... I love him

It's my 18th Birthday that day when my friends prepared something for me. I was in my house when I received a phone call from an unknown number telling that I should go to the known abandoned building beside the our town's court, I stood up with a wide smile expecting for some birthday greetings and surprise from my friends. The time clocks at 3 in the afternoon when I got there, the room was empty and so does signs of my friends. I roamed around the building to see what's happening while trying to contact the number. It was ringing, I can hear it. I hurrily walk to find where the sound is coming from.
