(oof) Tom is a normal guy hanging with his normal friends. At least, that's what he wants them to believe. Due to his "unique" appearance, he was tested on after his parents died. Unfortunately, one of those tests failed miserably, and now Tom is stuck with a horrid demon in his body, one that only activates if he is afraid. Not being afraid is hard, especially for him. Even though he's gotten better at controlling his fears, he worries for Edd and Matt when they fight. He knows it's because of him. Edd has been more abusive and furious with Tom with each passing day. And it's hard not being afraid when Tord joins the picture. As his childhood bully, it isn't hard to not have fears about him. Puppet theatres have always been a big part of the Czech culture and Anna and her uncle rely on them for a living. Anna has always made puppets, always been to see the shows and always had them in her life. It’s just the way it always has been. But what happens when the curtains go down and at night the puppets dance on the stage, when people are being murdered, when a ghost and mysterious magician appear?

The way he rubbed my head and left kisses on my face was rather confusing than comforting. His worried tensed expression left me exploding in silent fear. "You will go with your mother." He looked into my eyes. I began to shake my head. "But its still dark." I pointed at the lone window in the room. He lowered himself to the floor, kneeling. "Remember, I told you a day like this would come?" I nodded. "Then act accordingly." Akam is a seventeen year old whose life had been riddled with poverty and family problems. He finds himself in the middle of extended family tussle that almost took his life. After returning from an involuntary exile with his mother and learning of his fathers death, he decided to lay low with his mother. But after his mother was ripped away from him and brutally murdered by the same people who killed his father, he's on the run from the powers that be. Having no other alternative, he merges with his father's spirit to fight and expose those who killed his mother, and are out to also destroy him.
