The teenage period is usually not always easy. You make mistakes, you learn from them. It's like a moulding phase towards adulthood, which tends to be harder than adults make it sound. Especially in this generation. Growing up in a society where having a psychological condition means you're a freak, abnormal or an attention seeker. Where gender inequality is still seen as normal and right. Where anything other than Heterosexuality means you're possessed or the spawn of the devil. Where showing your emotions as a guy means you're soft and weak, because toxic masculinity isn't seen as a problem. Also, having anything to do that's related to these "atrocities" means you're set for an even bigger social stigma. Being a teenager becomes harder than hard. Just a group of teenagers trying to find a place for themselves in midst of a backward society, realising that life can't be all black and white. Growing in an African home is hard but what's harder is being a Nigerian. O le gán. "It is better to be hated for what you are, than to be loved for what you're not." -André Gide

Often it seems as if we are not in control of our own emotions and feelings. Like there's some cosmic force of the universe that guides our thoughts and emotions. How else can we explain that "I miss you" text you sent to your ex after you promised yourself not to or the flutter you feel in your stomach you feel when you see the object of your every desire, knowing fully well they will never leave their partner to ever be with you or how you're falling out of love wit someone you used to not be able to imagine your life without. As comforting as it is to fantasize that such is the case the truth is we are in control, every thought, every fantasy, every action, we control it all. Conciously or otherwise we shape our destinies even when it may seem our thoughts and actions are beyond us. We like to think of ourselves as independent from these emotions, strong minded and strong willed, surely we as human beings, a more advanced species, would never fall prey to such carnal and animalistic desires right? Wrong. For it is these same emotions, Passion and Desire that make us human, and who are we to deprive ourselves of our humanity. What if we could harness this humanity? Understand it, shape it, wield it to fit our wants and needs. Don't get confused this is not some relationship self help book just the stories of a 17 year old kid trying to understand his mortality.

Jayden is a boy.......at least that's how he feels. ************************ NB: This story won't really match the lifestyle of any particular country, it'll be more of the world in my head but it'll be very clear. Although standard things like school system, society reactions and so on will mostly copy my country. Also this is my first story and I greatly lack writing talent so please be nice but give me your CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM. Just tell me what I'm doing wrong. Thanks for reading.

Meet Amarachi, a shy yet talkative Nigerian girl who somehow always finds herself right in the middle of chaos. She has a lot to say (trust me, you'll see), and she won't hesitate to pause mid-story just to talk directly to you, the reader. This book follows her life and her struggles, feelings, awkward moments, and all the funny chaos she faces while trying to figure herself out. It's part comedy, part heartfelt journey a story packed with laughter, lessons, and everyday Nigerian vibes. If you love stories that feel real, warm, and a little bit dramatic (with a main character who just can't stop talking to you), then you're definitely going to enjoy this one.
