At sixteen, Miles G. Morales is already living two lives.
By day, he's a gifted Brooklyn Technical High School student trying to balance grades, family, and the expectations that come with being a Black and Latino kid determined to make something of himself. By night, he becomes the Prowler-Brooklyn's masked protector, a shadow moving across rooftops and slipping through places no one else can reach.
The police call him a vigilante. The people of Brooklyn call him one of their own.
Prowler doesn't chase fame, and he doesn't wait for permission. He exposes scammers, targets criminals who prey on his neighborhood, recovers stolen money, and puts it back into the hands of the people who need it. His videos have turned him into an underground phenomenon, but beneath the mask, almost no one knows who he really is.
Almost.
Miles's uncle, Aaron Davis, was the original Prowler-and he is the only person who knows the truth. Aaron taught Miles how to disappear, how to fight, and how to survive a life that can turn deadly in seconds. What he never expected was for Miles to take the Prowler name and turn it into something Brooklyn could believe in.
Then Miles steals from the wrong people.
What begins as another operation leads him into a conspiracy stretching far beyond Brooklyn-one connected to the Demons, Oscorp, Norman Osborn, and experiments that were never meant to leave a laboratory. Soon, Miles finds himself caught between powerful enemies, dangerous secrets, and a genetically engineered spider that changes everything he thought he knew about himself.
And somewhere across New York, Spider-Man is following the same trail.
Before long, the Kid from Brooklyn and the Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man are headed straight toward each other.
One believes in responsibility.
The other believes sometimes you have to break the rules to protect your people.
Brooklyn made Miles Morales.
The Prowler made him a legend.
What comes next could change New York forever.
